Oswalt Impressive in Rangers Debut

23 Jun

It was a fairly impressive return to the show for Roy Oswalt, who made his Texas Rangers debut last night against the Colorado Rockies.

Roy started 19 of 29 Rockies off with a strike, and he started 17 of those 29 off (including the final five) by throwing the first two pitches for strikes.  He worked backwards, punishing Colorado with a great breaking ball all night and spotting a good change, making his riding fastball all the more effective.  He located pretty much everything.

He  also didn’t allow a run until his 110th and final pitch.  Not bad.

Keep up with me on Facebook, and Twitter, and soon my App will be available in the iTunes store.
