Phils Aim to Rebound at PNC

2 Jun

After leaving D.C. with a series loss the Phillies are looking to make the most of their series against the Pittsburgh Pirates at PNC Park.

The Pirates are are 4-6 in their last ten games, and have won just nine games at home.  But let’s not sleep on them either.  The Bucs have a young and have played the Phillies well at PNC in the past going 12-8 against the Phils.  Cole Hamels, who is Friday night’s starter for the Phils is just 1-1 lifetime against the Pirates at PNC, but is 4-0 on the road this season.

The Pirates have a bunch of quality pitchers in their rotation, but defense and offense are lacking… Sound familiar?

Don’t expect the Pirates to roll over.  They are playing the best baseball their franchise has seen in close to 20 years.

I have a couple friends that are going to be at PNC this weekend, and I hope you guys enjoy it.  It’s one of the best parks I’ve ever been to.
