Who Keeps Hitting The Snooze Button?

Well, I don’t know if I should go and suggest that the Phillies were sleeping on Josh Johnson last night, but their bats didn’t really seem to be awake.

Last night on my Facebook I posted a question immediately after this game was over asking if anyone saw anything positive in this game, other then Roy Halladay.  Nobody said anything positive.  After cooling off and settling down after the loss I tried to pick this game apart.

I think we need to be honest about this one guys.  With most of the teams we face we are just better then them.  Yeah, that’s why we win so much.  But in last night’s game we faced a really good pitcher.  As it was advertised this was a re-match of Roy Halladay’s perfect game, which if you remember we won by just 1-0.  So we obviously didn’t scrounge up many hits in that one either.

Sometimes this is gonna happen.  I know that we’ve lost a boat load of games recently but this one was wasn’t because we were sleeping, it was because Josh Johnson was very, very good.  Yes, he was better then us.
