Sign stealing is part of the game

I think that everybody that’s a fan of the game knows that sign stealing is just a part of the game.  Any runner who’s standing at second base knows that it’s part of their job to try and pick up what’s coming next and relay that to the batter at the plate.  A few teams have voiced their concerns that the Phillies have been using other methods (Cameras, and now apparently binoculars) to pick up signs.  I’m not sure if this is what Phillies bullpen coach Mick Billmeyer was doing or if he just has a hard time seeing the game from a hundred or so yards away.  I really hope all this stuff isn’t true, and if it was wouldn’t someone have already blown the whistle?

So the Marlins, Yankees, Dodgers, Rockies, and suprise, the Mets, have all suspected the Phillies of stealing signs.  They’ve hinted that the Phillies hitters have made unusual swings at pitches as if they might have known what was coming.  Like nobody’s ever swung at a bad pitch before.  I wouldn’t make too much of this story, it is what it is…. ********.
